We built TradeyFox because we needed it ourselves.

For years, business coaches told us the same things many trade owners hear: know your numbers, track your labour, protect your margin, follow up faster, systemise the team, and stop running the business from memory.

They were right. The problem was finding something off the shelf that actually tracked the work well enough for us. The usual apps helped with bits of the job, but we still ended up juggling spreadsheets, WhatsApp, notes, photos, invoices, and separate systems.

TradeyFox is in constant development. If the work needs a better tool, we build it into the system and keep improving it with real jobs in mind: from quote, to site, to invoice, to paid.

Yes. TradeyFox is intended for quick site use, so staff can record hours, tasks, expenses, and key updates while they are at work. The deeper office tasks, like reviewing costs, managing invoices, and running the business admin, are best handled by the office team from a desktop PC.

Is TradeyFox available on Android and iOS?

Not as standalone app-store apps yet. The web app is built to operate like an app on your iPhone or Android device, so your team can use it from the browser and save it to the home screen. Standalone Android and iOS apps are in development and coming soon.

Can I track quoted vs extra work?

Yes. Quotes, extras, and non-billable work are tracked separately for clarity.

Does the client portal include paid/unpaid visibility?

Yes. Clients can view invoice status and statements from one place.

Can we migrate later to a bigger setup?

Yes. The backend is designed to move from SQLite to Postgres as the platform grows.
